General terms

These terms apply to services of Aurora Hunting (All About Lapland Ltd), purchased by the persons paying for the services (Client). The price of the services depend on the program, number of participants, and the dates when the tour takes place. Language used for guiding and during all services is English, if not otherwise stated or agreed.

Booking and confirmation

By completing a booking fee, you agree to these terms and conditions, as well as the cancellation policy. The booking for the tour is confirmed after booking fee has been payed in full within the designated time frame, and a confirmation of payment via online communication (such as email, text, messenger service) is sent to you.

Payments

The total payment for the tour is divided between the booking fee that is payed in advance, and the remaining part that is payed after the tour.

Payment for the booking fee is done prior to the tour to secure the seats, using an online payment link provided via online communication. The advance payments is to be payed with a single credit card, as a single transaction for the whole group to facilitate a possible refund. 

The spots are only secured when the booking fee transaction is successful, and is confirmed by Aurora Hunting. If the link is already sent to the Client, but the Client does not proceed with the payment, Aurora Hunting reserves the right to book the seats to another party, and to refund payments to the Client, and to deny the Client from booking the tour.

If the tour departs, and it is successful (aurora borealis seen with naked eye, for any duration, or any strength, shape or form), the rest of the payment is to payed by credit card with a card terminal after the tour is finished. 

The prices include VAT 25,5%, according to the taxation laws of Finland.

Cancellation policy

After the booking fee is completed, it is nonrefundable by the Client’s initiate, or if the Client fails to proceed with their travel plans to Finland, or show up for the tour, for any reason, including but not limited to cancellation of the Client’s trip; medical condition; travel delays, problems or cancellation of flights (trains, buses, rental cars etc); force majeure; natural disaster; pandemic; closure of borders; war…etc. The booking fee is also nonrefundable, if the Client travels to Finland, but fails to show up at the agreed pickup location within 10 minutes from the agreed local time (EEST, Finland), as designated to the Client via an online communication, and resulting in the tour departing without the Client.

If the tour is cancelled on the agreed date by Aurora Hunting due to any reason (including but not limited to the weather, low aurora activity, sickness, etc.), both parties, the Client and Aurora Hunting, will firstly seek to reschedule the tour for a backup date (or dates), previously agreed together via the online communication. However, if there is no opportunity to reschedule the tour, the booking fee will be returned to the Client.

The tour can be cancelled by Aurora Hunting at any point after the booking is submitted, including on the day of the tour, or at the last minute.

If the tour departs, but the auroras are not seen during the tour, both parties, the Client and Aurora Hunting, will firstly seek to reschedule the tour for another date, considering availability of Aurora Hunting and Client’s schedule. However, if the tour cannot be rescheduled, the booking fee will be returned to the Client.

Most refunds are processed within 5–10 business days, however, please allow up to 1 month to refund.
Refunds can only be sent back to the original payment method used in a charge.

Liability

Aurora Hunting (All About Lapland Ltd) shall exercise pro-activity, contingency, due diligence and appropriate health and safety measures in accordance with the laws and regulations of Finland. Aurora Hunting (All About Lapland Ltd) may only be held liable for personal injuries or material damage arising from accidents that have happened during the delivery of the offered services and which are caused by negligence of the Aurora Hunting (All About Lapland Ltd) or its employees.

Aurora Hunting (All About Lapland Ltd) is not liable for any accidental damage or injury which has to be indemnified under the travel insurance of a customer. Program services can be physically demanding (such as walking in the deep snow), and the participants may be exposed to physical strain or cold weather, as well as sitting the car for a prolonged period of time. In case of having any illnesses or disabilities (including but not limited to heart disease, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, back or hip problems, sensitivity to smell, dementia, nausea, stomach or inner organ problems etc.) that could affect your ability to take part in the programs, or in case of pregnancy, you should consult medical experts prior to participating in the programs. By taking part in the programs you understand and accept the risks.

Liability insurance

Aurora Hunting (All About Lapland Ltd) has a general third party liability insurance for bodily injury and property damage according to the terms and conditions of insurance company “OP Vakuutus”.

Force Majeure

Aurora Hunting (All About Lapland Ltd) shall not be held liable for any default, damage or loss due to a condition of force majeure or due to a similar cause (including but not limited to air space restrictions, terrorism, pandemic or outbreak of a disease, war, strike, extreme weather, or other natural condition etc.). 

Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

Terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the Finnish Law. The Finnish Courts shall have the exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute, controversy or claim. First instance shall be The District Court of Lapland – Lapin Käräjäoikeus in Rovaniemi, Finland.

Severability

If any part, term or provision of these terms and conditions is partly or wholly held invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the validity or enforceability of other provisions, extent part and remainder of these terms and conditions shall remain in full force and effect.

Changes to these terms & conditions

These terms and conditions can be changed at any time without further notice by Aurora Hunting (All About Lapland Ltd). Changes will not apply to bookings placed prior to changes to these terms & reservations.
